Audio Boo: A Social Podcast

AudioBoo is the upgrade version for Vocaroo
It is more likely function the same but AudioBoo bring it more lively and more interesting, by making it like a social website such as Facebook, Twitter and so on.
AudioBoo is whole new dimension for podcasting tool which users can share their thought, story and what is happening in 3 minutes for the free plan.

How To Use It?

1. As AudioBoo function as other social website, users need to sign up for a free account. the need to put their details in there, email, picture profile and others,  like other social apps.

2. Or you can just easily sign up by sign in with your twitter account. It will automatically integrate your profile information from the twitter account.

This is how it looks like once you registered. You are free to start on sharing! Click 'record/upload Boo' to send your voice messages to your friends or stranger. You can listen to other's posts or you can share yours through Facebook and twitter. This tool also allows you to follow four friends or anyone you like, which makes it not so dull compare to Vocaroo.

3. What makes it more interesting, this tool has it own apps for smartphones. You can also add title, description, a photo and add a location to it.

4. to learn and know more about this tool click on 'take a tour' provided on the front page of the web.

How can teachers use it in teaching?

This tool is more or less acts mostly the same as Vocaroo which are focussing on speaking and listening.

However, by making it more lively, it helps teachers to continue the lesson even if the students are outside of the class. Teachers can use this tool to give them a task during the break or even weekend.
Teacher can ask students to respond on the 3 minutes of their talk, and do the sharing amongst them.

To try and bringing it more advance, teachers can ask students to write one short story in 3 minutes to be told on the podcast. By doing that, students not only practising their speaking and listening, but also their writing.

Advantages

1. It is free. Easy to be handled by students.
2. More lively, socially connected.
3. Teachers can easily monitor their students and check on their improvement from their last post.

Disadvantages

1. The time for recording is too short for free account plan, however they can upgrade it to advance plan.
2.
